Julien was created for NECROMANTIC NIGHTS and subsequent books. Kairee enjoys adventuring with a partner. Given that she is such a strong personality, Julien needed to be more than a match for her; intellectually, magically, and intimately. He finds his inspiration in both the aloof and cool characters of romances, the erudite heroes of old Hollywood, and the dark brutality of the warlock in the 1989 film "Warlock."
